Celebre en Salento con las típicas tradiciones de la región, entre desfiles, cabalgatas, reinados, yipaos y mucha música.
Fiestas Aniversarias de Salento
Estas fiestas celebran cada año la fundación del municipio en la segunda semana de enero, durante aproximadamente una semana. En esta época, se realizan actividades de todo tipo: niños, jóvenes y adultos se reúnen para participar en desfiles, cabalgatas y presentación de orquestas. También se encuentran eventos especiales como: el festival de la camiseta mojada, el concurso departamental de música popular, concurso de arriería y rajaleñas, muestras de los camperos Willys o “yipaos” y campeonatos de tejo.
Fiesta de la Palma de Cera
Ésta se realiza cada dos años durante las Fiestas Aniversarias en la segunda semana de enero. Los eventos principales de esta celebración incluyen encuentros deportivos, el reinado de la palma, concursos de pesca, ferias ganaderas, entre otras.
Semana Santa en Salento
Típica tradición católica, donde se realizan procesiones multitudinarias por las calles del pueblo. Se caracteriza por ser una semana muy turística y con otro tipo de eventos culturales que complementan la actividad religiosa.
