¡Bienvenid@s a Islas del Rosario!

Se trata de un archipiélago de origen coralino, que hace parte del Parque Nacional Natural Corales del Rosario y de San Bernardo y está conformado por aproximadamente 27 islotes y cayos.  Para llegar se puede por vía acuática, saliendo desde el muelle turístico La Bodeguita (ubicado en la ciudad de Cartagena); el viaje dura aproximadamente entre 45 minutos y una hora. 

En este archipiélago se encuentra el Oceanario, que reciben la visita de turistas que desean observar  más de cerca la fauna y flora marina del Mar caribe.  En el mar que rodea las islas, que se caracterizan por su transparencia permite apreciar los vivos colores de los arrecifes coralinos.  En ellas se puede practican deportes como la pesca deportiva y submarina, el buceo, el careteo, la natación y el velerismo, utilizando como escenario las aguas del Mar Caribe.

La artesanía también hace presencia en el lugar, por medio de las carteras, bolsos y billeteras que elaboran las mujeres de la isla, reciclando materiales no biodegradables; y se pueden realizar recorridos ecoturísticos con interpretación ambiental, guiados por miembros de comunidades afro descendientes. Curiosidades y tips

  • Se recomienda que los visitantes lleven bloqueador para protegerse del sol, así como botellas de agua para mantenerse hidratados.
  • Al practicar careteo o buceo en esta zona, se debe tener mucho cuidado con los corales, ya que conforman un ecosistema muy frágil.
  • Para llegar al archipiélago, se recomiendo a los visitantes que soliciten los servicios de empresa autorizada para darle seguridad a su viaje.
  • Aquellos visitantes que deseen hospedarse en las islas pueden hacerlos en casas o cabañas que se alquilan por temporadas o por días.
  • En las playas se puede alquilar el servicio de sillas y parasoles, de la misma forma existe la venta de bebidas y platos típicos.
