Feria Manizales
Destacada por ser un evento que muestra los paisajes, las bellas mujeres y la gente cordial, además es el punto central para la realización del Reinado Internacional del Café y la Temporada Taurina (Feria Taurina,), entre otros. La feria nace en 1951 en celebración del centenario de la ciudad.
Esta feria tiene una influencia marcada de las raíces españolas, que gracias a esto, muchas de sus tradiciones son imitadas en los desfiles, como los vestidos rojos de sevillanas, y los espectáculos taurinos. En el Reinado Internacional del Café, se muestran la cultura y el producto insignia de la región, además de las presentaciones de orquestas y conciertos, que forman una fiesta colorida, con mucha música, baile y cultura.
Otros eventos que se llevan a cabo en marco de la Feria de Manizales son: el Festival Folclórico Nacional, el Festival Nacional de la Trova y el Mercado Nacional Artesanal.

Festival Internacional de Teatro de Manizales
Evento de tradición creado en el año 1968, que ofrece un espacio cultural y artístico y que reúne la participación de representantes de las artes escénicas de varios países. Durante este festival se llevan a cabo manifestaciones de circo, de teatro clásico, de danza, que se realizan en diferentes puntos de la ciudad (calles, salas y otros espacios). También se crean espacios de diálogo como talleres, foros y seminarios entorno a la cultural del teatro.

Se dice que este pueblo estaba dividido en dos: Quiebralomo y la Montaña, en medio de la disputa por el territorio que se extendía hacia el Cerro Ingrumá, se generó una enemistad marcada, sin embargo dos párrocos lograron unir y fundar a los dos pueblos como uno solo; por esta razón, este municipio tiene dos plazas principales.
