La Costa Pacífica es un destino de gran biodiversidad, que concentra una de los mayores niveles de pluviosidad y humedad del planeta, en donde converge la selva húmeda tropical y el Océano Pacífico. Cuenta con apacibles y extensas playas en donde los visitantes pueden disfrutar del paisaje. La riqueza cultural de la región se evidencia en las diferentes manifestaciones artesanales, musicales y religiosas típicas, ejemplo de esto es la inscripción de la Música de marimba y cantos tradicionales del Pacífico Sur de Colombia, en la lista Representativa del Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial de la Humanidad por la Unesco. Un destino obligado para visitar.

Curiosidades y tips

  • Es una de las regiones con mayor biodiversidad del mundo
  • Recuerde llevar ropa liviana y fresca, así como zapatos cómodos para las caminatas
  • Es indispensable el uso de repelente para insectos, bloqueador solar y linterna
  • Importante aplicarse las vacunas de fiebre amarilla y tétano
  • No tomar o alterar la flora y fauna local
  • Recuerde llevar dinero en efectivo de baja denominación, pues la mayoría de destinos no cuentan con cajeros electrónicos o casas de cambio
  • Llevar impermeable, pues las lluvias son frecuentes
  • Existen zonas de la costa Pacífica cuyo acceso puede ser restringido por situaciones de seguridad. Se recomienda antes de realizar el viaje, averiguar con las autoridades competentes, guías, agentes de viajes o lugareños si existe algún problema en el destino
